One takeaway I have from this reading is that plain language is more important than it may seem. I didn't realize the importance before but the article was helpful for me to understand from the perspective of someone who has an impairment or other disability.


Real-World Connection:

Websites which are easier to navigate and understand is a critical part of good user experience as I learned in my classes formally, and language is a part of this, not just design.


Burning Question:

How can we keep language simple while still explaining technical or complicated information, while talking about a very specific topic?
