I revisited the survey and the brainstormed list to understand the imagery needed.
I prompted ChatGPT to generate images of the different places from the list.
I presented the image drafts to peers and received feedback.
I prompted ChatGPT to regenerate images with some tips/feedback in order to implement changes.
I uploaded the images onto my blog site.
Reflection
1. How do your images visually connect with the icons you designed? Consider if the style, colors, or shapes are consistent with the icons, and how they enhance or support the overall theme of your survey.
My images and icons are visually different from each other. My icons are based on geometric shapes and a set color palette to ensure cohesion within the icon set, whereas my goal for the images was for them to be more detailed. My images support the overall theme of the survey by visually showing viewers the kinds of activities/events they can partake in within their community, which is what the survey asks about.

2. How did you decide what each image should convey to the viewer? Reflect on the choices you made to represent the survey topics. Why did you choose specific symbols, imagery, or colors?
In order to decide what each image should convey to the viewers, I revisited the survey and decided that the images should show the community's involvement at the places or during activities mentioned in the survey questions. The imagery of the pictures were chosen based on the locations I picked. I wanted the images to be a representation of how the average places look like.

3. What challenges did you encounter in making your images accessible and clear? Think about any adjustments you made to improve understanding for a wide audience. Were there any elements that might need further clarity?
The images which the AI initially generated were very busy, and not so easy to evaluate for those with visual impairments. In order to make the images more accessible and clear, I asked the AI to create simpler/less busier versions of the images to make them easier for a wide audience to understand. In order to understand if more clarity is needed, I would need to go through another round of feedback.

4. How do these images help engage the survey participants? Consider if the images make the survey more inviting or relatable. How do you think participants will respond to these visuals?
The images make the survey questions easier to understand by providing a visualization of certain activities mentioned in the questions. These images therefore invite more participants/engagement to the survey since more people are able to understand what is being asked by the survey.

5. In what ways did you balance creativity with functionality in your designs? Reflect on how you managed to create visually appealing images while also ensuring they clearly communicated each survey topic.
In order to create visually appealing images, I asked ChatGPT to apply similar styles in all of the images to ensure cohesiveness. I balanced creativity with functionality by making the images simple, while still using an illustration which visualizes the community interactions (relating to an activity).

6. What tools or techniques did you find most effective in creating these images? Discuss what methods or software helped you achieve your goals, and any tips you’d share with others tackling a similar project.
In order to create these images, I used ChatGPT's AI to generate the images based on the prompts I feed. I found this to be effective as it modified images based on the feedback which I provided, so I liked that I was able to get what I want.

7. What feedback did you get for Version 1? How did you implement it for Version 2?
For Version 1, I received feedback that the pictures were too busy (there was too much going on). I was told that there are too many people/objects in the frame which made it hard to focus on the overall activity which the image was supposed to represent. In order to address this feedback, I asked ChatGPT to make the images simpler.
